unknowingly i have uninstalled mozilla and that included thunderbird which i use for my emails + calander. I have installed thunderbird again but unable to access my emails and calander which i really need access to. The email address i use we have had forever and when the company i started up with sold i was able to keep using my email address through The Messaging Company (Australia) by paying a yearly subscription. Can someone help me access my account please. Also am not very tech savvy so hopefully nothing too complicated would be very much appreciated. Kind regards

I need assistance to setup my accounts correctly in my unified inbox. A few times I have lost some messages, when sending mail, they go out from both accounts Is there a way to chat with someone, and to share screenshots. I look forward to hear.

I just updated from Windows 10 to 11 & now my Mozilla Thunderbird scroll bar on the right side is either extremely thin or not present at all. I also notice that My Firefox browser has a very thin scroll bar. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks for any help.

I'm having an issue with some of my filters not working. I've checked the several times and they should be set up correctly, but, for some reason, they don't perform their respective actions, even when I press "Run Now".

Also: I recently changed the sorting of my e-mails to be threaded by chain. I like to have all of my most recent e-mails show up at the top, but, within each thread, the most recent e-mail shows at the bottom (see the supposedly-attached image). Is there a way to flip this?

I recently installed Thunderbird on a new Windows 11 PC. I am using Thunderbird 128.11.0esr on another machine and it works properly. I attempted to clone my 128 setup onto the new machiine by copying the Profile folder without success. Some settings were transferred, enough so that the inbox was filling with my emails. I tried to send a message. It failed with the message: "Sending of the message failed The message could not be send because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.gmail.com times out. Try again" As far as I can tell the SMPT server settings are exactly the same on the two setups: Description: Gmail Port: 587 Connection security: STARTTLS Authentication methon: OAuth2 Username TMerrillH Sending GMail using the GMail app works properly. Could it be something in the OAuth2 system?

I changed internet providers to starlink and things worked fine. Recently there have been periods when I can not access new emails although the Thunderbird account will open. If I access through my phone it seeks to verify my identity as iff I were located elsewhere in the world.

What are the solutions?

I am using 64bit Windows 11 Home. This happened suddenly without any changes on my part that I know of.

Thunderbird suddenly started freezeing right after startup. The only thing I can do is login with the master password then the regular thunderbird screen opens, but I cannot click on anything. Soon after the screen is greyed out. However I can close the program down with the red "x" in the top right corner. It opens a dialog that gives me the opens to close down or wait to respond. The close option works.

The only hint I can see from the frozen screen is that the local Folder seems to have a problem as a subfolder has now multiple copies of itself. It seems to create a new copy of that subfolder every time I try to start the program.

So far I tried reinstalling/updating TB, as I assumed an update had maybe malfunctioned, (it was stuck on version 128, since I could not open TB for about a week now) but upgrading to to version 138 did not help. I also tried starting TB in troubleshoot mode, which made no difference I also tried starting TB while windows was in safe mode, which made no difference.

I read around but people that have problems with TB freezing seem to not have the freeze happen before they can do anything.

I assume something is wrong in my profile, maybe the local folder? But I have no idea to fix anything, since I cannot do anything at all in TB.

Hi, When installing my Yahoo account in F-bird, I chose the option to keep copies of the messages on the server when downloading them to my local folders. But all my message folders on the yahoo server appear to be empty after I copied them to my local folders. Can this be undone? I'm using other email programs on my mobiles and it's crucial for me that I can access all my folders from mobile and desktop devices. Is there a way to keep them on the yahoo server AND have them synchronized with my local folders? Your help is very much appreciated! Kind regards, Pat

I am running Thunderbird ESR 128 as a snap on Ubuntu 24.04. I have several different email accounts and until a couple of days ago, when I replied to an email on account 2 or 3 it was sent as from that particular account. Now it is being sent as if from account 1. Trying to send an email as if from account 2 or 3 results in a failed-to- send message. I have noticed that when I look at the from field for accounts nos 2 and three the following is being inserted before the normal email address "NSIMsgidentity: 1d6 (or 1d7). Can anyone please advise me why this is happening and how to recover the ability to reply / send an email from accounts 2 an 3 as if from those accounts rather than from account 1? Thanks in advance

Thunderbird stopped receiving emails from AOL. Stopped a few days ago and suddenly started working a few hours later. Now it has stopped for days. I can get my AOL emails by signing into AOL but I prefer receiving them in Thunderbird. I checked to see if my other devices have the same problem - they do. I cannot send messages from Thunderbird AOL account. Thunderbird does work with the Gmail account I have setup inThunderbird. What happened?

I checked with AOL. It appears that Thunderbird can send emails from my AOL (Verizon) account but it can receive them. This is either a Thunderbird issue or an issue with our Internet Service provider (Verizon).

No matter what I do all I get is this: Login to server imap.gmail.com with username smyn1118 failed. and: Unable to log in to server. Probably wrong configuration, user name or password. Any ideas? ....... Sam

Hi Forum I'm back using Thunderbird. The installation was very easy - thanks, and how nice everything is! But I'm trying to import from outlook, where I have some problems, which I hope someone can help me with:

1. I select the Import tool and select "import from Outlook, it now says "No profile found" 2. Thunderbird leverages Outlook to import Outlook data. It is not sufficient to have a .pst file, but Outlook must be installed on your device. 4. But Outlook 2019 is already installed on my pc and works fine, what to do?

a. I then try to import my address book as a csv file. Strange enough I have to map the fields, but ok. b. My problem is that on some of the mapped fields are importet email and mobile phone are not C. What to do

Hi! I'm trying to set Thunderbird as the operating system default under Win 11. I tried to follow Mozilla's instructions: 1. Open the Settings application by pressing and releasing the Windows Start button, then clicking the gear icon. 2. Click the Apps icon, then click Default Apps in the list. 3. Click the icon under the heading Email to show your choices. 4. Select Thunderbird. The trouble is that at n. 3 there is no choice. There is only 'OutlookAccounts' and this item cannot be deleted or replaced. Can you help? All the best, Robifiori

I added new email account on TB, all goes well, until I get oversized screen that asks me to click 'allow', but I don't see an allow button anywhere. Unable to shrink the screen size. The only way to get out of that screen is to click ESC to return to the prior install screen (which is normal sized). I have no idea how to complete this new email account installation. Any suggestions are welcome!

All emails regardless of where they are coming from. Show the email as myself being the sender. As an example, hagerty insurance shows me as the sender and me as a receiver and hagerty insurance as the reply to :

Folks, If the power to my PC fails whilst I am reading a Newsgroup, the list of subscribed newsgroups for that news server is lost. This doesn't happen very often but its a pain when it does. Dave

why thunderbird not resreshing from server folder status ?!?!?!?!? i made my own c# email download program to get emails from email folders and trough my program i delete some empty already folders. checking from cpanel web mail with email account folders are gone, but when start thundirbird old folders that i delete are still there !!!!!! why is that ??!?!?!?!
