Bitdefender 2012 keeps deleting firefox.exe as a virus.

I've downloaded the latest Firefox almost ten times, but everytime it tries to install I get a notification that firefox.exe has been deleted because it has "Gen.Trojan.Heur.JP.xu2@aaS1JFfi". Even when I disable security during the download and manage to install, as soon as I switch on active protection ( set to Permissive/Low setting) the exe is deleted immediately. I don't have unlimited data and constantly opening the download stubs is proving cumbersome. Is there a workaround for this as well as a way to store my installation file on my hard drive?

Chosen solution

No need to get it on ftp.

To get the full setup of latest Firefox Release in language of your choice instead of the stub installer look for the Systems & Languages link in the green download box on www.mozilla.org which is www.mozilla.org/firefox/all

The stub installer option on Windows has existed ever sine Firefox 18.0 and some scanners still occasionally make false positives with the stub but not with the full setup.

Also is the 2012 still even supported with definition updates?
